The J&S Safeguard TALKS back!

If you have a Safeguard ... read on...

I had an idea a few weeks ago, I got from something I read, and zip (thanks zip!) designed and built it for me.

It is a small box with some wires and stuff that intercepts the signal from the Safeguard unit to the Safeguard monitor. A small speaker will beep when the Safeguard retards timing. You can change when at which light an above if you want the speaker to beep at you.

Now when the J&S kicks in, you can hear it. Since the monitor is not always visible, it makes it easier to know when it's on. It should work out really well for racing, since you never have time to watch it.

Zip hasn't told me if he will be making more of them, but I think he might make a bunch to sell. They cost around $30-40 to make so he said, athough the price might change a little, but I'll leave that all to him.

So far it's pretty cool.

The final box will be cleaner. It requires you to connection a 12 v power source, route it, and plug it in.

No, Sjoback it doesn't play songs...LOL wink

Do you guys think its worth mass producing or at least setting up a groupbuy? Please chime in if your interested in purchasing such a device. Thanks.

Hey guys I hate to say it but that product is already on the market....there was an article a short while ago in an import mag that was featuring a car that they built for the mag....the car had a unit just like you described...the hooked the light part up to a little led that they had on the steering wheel that they installed...maybe one of you guys will remember the magazine and issue....If i find it I will post it

I'm sure that was the article that I read that 'gave me' the idea. But is that one for sale?

Well if it was a one-off unit I would guess that it would be packaged in a project box like your is...but since it has a case built for it with logos on it I would guess that it is a production unit??...I guess the best way to find out is call
